6th SUNRISE Plenary Meeting in Ljubljana Strengthens Evaluation, Implementation, and Long-Term Impact

The Ljubljana meeting focused on reviewing the implementation of SUNRISE pilot activities across the eight participating countries. Partners shared updates on participant recruitment, engagement with the project’s digital tools, and the progress of follow-up assessments. Extensive discussions enabled partners to exchange experiences, identify barriers and facilitators, and agree on practical solutions to ensure the successful delivery and consistency of implementation across all pilot sites.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to review progress across the project’s work packages. Partners discussed advances in the co-creation of school-based cancer prevention programmes, dissemination and communication activities, exploitation planning, policy actions, and the preparation of scientific publications. Updates on project deliverables and reviewer feedback further supported alignment across the consortium and helped define priorities for the project’s next phase.

The Ljubljana plenary concluded with a clear roadmap for the coming months, including continued implementation and evaluation activities, strengthened dissemination efforts, and preparations for future project milestones. Through ongoing collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to adolescent health and cancer prevention, the SUNRISE consortium continues to advance sustainable, digitally supported approaches to primary cancer prevention across Europe.
