We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our large-scale online cross-sectional survey, a key activity in Work Package 1 (WP1) of the SUNRISE Project! This initiative marks a significant step in co-creating innovative interventions to promote healthy behaviors and prevent cancer among adolescents.
The survey, targeting 5,000 adolescents (aged 12–19) across eight countries (Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland), aimed to assess:
•Health literacy, life skills, and attitudes.
•Behaviors related to unhealthy eating, smoking, and alcohol use, and their association with individual perceptions of risk, benefits, barriers, and self-efficacy.
•The impact of advertising and social media on health behaviors.
The results are currently under review and will be presented to EU institutions in 2025.
